WATERVILLE — Delta Ambulance administrators have long regarded the company as invisible to the public in central Maine.
“For 39 years, in spite of our best efforts, Delta was central Maine’s best kept secret, or so it seemed,” spokesman Bill McKenna said.
That may end, now that the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce named Delta its 2012 Business of the Year.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency, announced today that three Maine employers have been selected as semifinalists for the 2012 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the DoD to employers for exceptional support of their Guard and Reserve employees. This year, 133 semifinalists nationwide stood out among an impressive pool of 3,236 nominees.

During a celebratory dinner cruise aboard Casco Bay Lines, Randy Klatt of Maine Employers Mutual Insurance Company delivered a Workplace Safety Award to Delta's Executive Director Tim Beals for One-Million hours worked without a loss-time in jury.

We are pleased to announce that Paramedic Kirk Andert has been promoted to Field Supervisor.
Kirk began his EMS career in 2002 with Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service as an EMT-B. Since that time Kirk has risen to the ranks of CCEMT-P, joined Delta in May of 2009 and is currently in pursuit of his Associates Degree in Paramedicine.
