Paramedic Gurney Promoted to Director of Education

We are pleased to announce that Kevin Gurney has been promoted to the position of Director of Education for Delta Ambulance.

Kevin has been employed with Delta since 1998. He was hired as an EMT-B/WCVO and he immediately displayed the qualities of self-motivation and a sense of dedication that would assist him in building his experience and expertise in the field of Emergency Medicine.

While employed with Delta Kevin became a Paramedic, enhanced his licensure by becoming a CCT Paramedic and Associates Degree in Emergency Medicine. Kevin has been awarded the Silent Hero Award, Clinical Excellence Award and consistently ranks in the top 10% clinically at Delta.

For several years now in addition to his Paramedic duties, Kevin has served as our Education Coordinator, sits on our Clinical Standards and Practices Committee, OPS Team Committee, is a State of Maine EMS Instructor and he has served on the Education Committee of Kennebec Valley EMS and continues to serve on the Maine EMS Education Committee. Kevin’s dedication to his family, profession, Delta and his community is in keeping with the highest standard at Delta.

In his new role Kevin will oversee all educational aspects of the company and the continued development and maintenance of our quality improvement program for all field operations and dispatch services. Kevin will administer companywide staff development programs, companywide OSHA compliance programs and educational programs for community and business interests.
