Delta Ambulance Receives Patriot Award

Delta Ambulance has been recognized as a Patriotic Employer by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve "for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America's National Guard and Reserve Force"

Cherie Boudreau, Delta's Director of Human Resources, comments: “Delta is humbled and honored to receive the Patriot Award presented by The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. A number of our employees serve stateside while other employee members are in the most intense regions of conflict in the world.

Our Guard and Reserve member employees will not only protect the liberties we enjoy as citizens of the United States, they will be representing the National Guard, Reserve and Delta Ambulance as they employ the medical skills they have acquired through our combined commitment to training.

Each time a Delta employee is deployed or activated, that is a family member leaving to protect those they leave behind. We take pride in each and every employee who serves and feel it is our responsibility to support them while they are away and to ensure they have a place of employment and are welcomed upon their return.

Delta would like to thank the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for their assistance to Delta Ambulance as we transition our citizen service members to and from active duty status. This award will serve as a tribute to those Delta Ambulance employees who serve a cause greater than themselves”.

Delta was nominated by Jessica McFarland (Ellis) upon her return from a tour of duty in Iraq as a Medic with the 126th AVN out of Bangor

Delta Ambulance is a not-for-profit paramedic ambulance service serving central Maine as the 9-1-1 ambulance for eighteen (18) communities from bases in Waterville and Augusta. Delta previously signed a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve in 2007
